Moje ime je Dora. Po struci sam biotehnolog i ima tu neke povezanosti sa kuhanjem. Zaljubila sam se u kuhanje još u srednjoj školi kada smo sestra i ja prvi puta ostale same na moru. Više volim jesti slanu hranu, ali moja prava ljubav je pečenje kolača, koje pečem kad god me uhvati nervoza i treba mi opuštanje, za sve prigode i kada naiđem na neki novi recept.
Kao dijete, počela sam učiti francuski jezik i upoznala francusku kulturu. Imala sam sreću i tijekom studija provela sam prekrasnih mjesec dana u Francuskoj gdje sam svakodnevno jela Éclair-e, bagete, kroasane i drugo. Najdraža kuhinja mi je francuska, a maslac je najdraži sastojak za kuhanje slanog i slatkog. Nikad dosta maslaca! Moja je filozofija da je margarin loša zamjena za maslac i iskreno, ne sviđa mi se njegov okus.
Mislim da svatko može dobro skuhati jednostavna jela ili ispeći kolače ako ima dobar recept. Pokušat ću vam približiti svoje iskustvo i na što jednostavniji način objasniti recepte.
Nikada nisam bila na kuharskoj radionici ili u školi kuhanja, a želja mi je otići na radionicu dekoriranja kolača. Maybe one day.
Od 2016. najvše volim kuhati za svojeg sina, a od svibnja 2019, i za svoju curicu. Oboje su izbirljivi jelci te je izazov za njih pripremiti nešto raznoliko. Bez obzira na sve, oni su moja inspiracija.

My name is Dora. I have finished the faculty of Biotechnology, and here is a connection with cooking. I fell in love with cooking while I was in the high school, when I stayed alone with my twin sister on the seaside. I prefer salty food over sweet, but baking of cakes is my love. I love to bake when I come back from work nervous and I need to relax, for all occasions and when I find a new recipe.
As a child, I have started learning French and I was introduced to French culture. I was lucky to spend a month in France during my studies. Every day I ate Éclairs, baguettes, croissants and other. My favorite ingredient is butter, for sweets and salty food. There is never enough butter (as Julia Child would say). I think that margarine is a bad replacement for butter and I honestly don’t like its taste.
In my opinion, everybody can cook and bake good following a good recipe. I will try to bring my recipes closer to you, so you could make everything.
I have never attended culinary or cake-decoration workshop. Maybe one day!
I will write in English and Croatian so more readers can try my recipes. For now, my posts will only be in Croatian, English ones will start in a month.
From 2016, cooking for my son is my favorite thing, and from May 2019 for my little girl. They both are picky when it comes to food but still they are my inspiration.
